1. Who we are

2. What data we collect

When you sign up and use Woltap, we collect:

Account information

• Your name, email address, and phone number
• Your shop name and business address (if you provide it)
• Your account password (stored as a one-way hash; we cannot recover it)

Business operations data

• Items in your catalog (names, prices, stock counts, photos you upload)
• Sales records (orders, line items, payment methods, totals)
• Customer records you create (name, phone, account balance)
• Inventory history (restocks, sales, voids)
• Subscription status and plan tier

Device data

• A unique device identifier we generate on first launch (to manage which devices have access to your account)
• Device type (iOS, Android, macOS, Windows) and OS version
• App version

Diagnostic data

• Crash reports (only if you opt in via the Settings page)
• Performance data (only if you opt in)

We do NOT collect:

• Your customers' card numbers, bank details, or financial instruments — Woltap stores only the payment METHOD (e.g. “card” / “cash” / “account”) not the card data itself.
• Your location.
• Your contacts.
• Your photos beyond ones you explicitly attach to items.
• Any data for advertising or profiling purposes.

3. How we use your data

We use the data above strictly to:

• Run the Service (sync your sales between devices, render your receipts, enforce subscription gating)
• Provide customer support when you reach out
• Notify you of important account or product updates by email
• Improve Woltap by analysing aggregate usage patterns (never individual vendor data)

We do NOT:

• Sell your data to anyone, ever.
• Share it with advertisers.
• Share it with third parties except the sub-processors listed in section 5.

4. Where we store your data

Your data is stored on secure cloud servers. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Backups are retained for 30 days.

5. Sub-processors

We use limited sub-processors to provide the Service: cloud hosting (application backend), database storage, transactional email, and platform vendors (Apple and Google for app distribution and push notifications). We do not use any third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the app.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you
• Correct — fix any inaccurate or incomplete data
• Delete — request that we erase your account and all associated data (“right to be forgotten”). We will complete deletion within 30 days. Some data may be retained in encrypted backups for an additional 30 days before being permanently overwritten.
• Export — receive your data in a machine-readable format (JSON or CSV)
• Object — opt out of any data processing you don't consent to

7. Retention

• Active accounts: data retained for the lifetime of the account.
• Cancelled accounts: data retained for 90 days then permanently deleted, unless you specifically request earlier deletion.
• Backups: rolling 30-day window.

8. Children's privacy

Woltap is not directed at users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided data to us, contact info@woltrap.com.

9. International data transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than the one where you live. We use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and other safeguards required by GDPR for any transfer out of the European Economic Area.

10. Changes to this policy

We will notify you of any material changes via email and through an in-app banner at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
