Common questions
Do I need a Jeb account?
No. Jeb has no account and no login. You install the app and start tracking — all your data lives on your device. There's nothing to sign up for.
Where is my data stored?
Everything is stored on your device in a local SQLite database. Jeb has no backend server, so your transactions never leave your device unless you choose to turn on cloud sync.
How does sync work, and is it private?
Sync is optional and goes to your own cloud — iCloud on Apple, Google Drive on Android. Jeb backs up to a private folder in your account using a last-write-wins merge, soft-delete tombstones, and receipt-file sync. Woltrap never sees your data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Can I use Jeb on more than one device?
Yes. Turn on sync on each device signed into the same iCloud (Apple) or Google account (Android), and Jeb keeps them in step using a last-write-wins merge. On Apple, both devices use the same iCloud; on Android, the same Google Drive.
Does Jeb connect to my bank?
No — and that's the point. Jeb never asks for bank logins and makes no bank connections. You enter transactions yourself (or via recurring rules), so your credentials are never at risk.
How do multi-currency totals work?
Jeb fetches live exchange rates from a free, key-less source and caches them on your device, with a bundled offline fallback. Accounts and transfers are currency-aware, so totals across currencies always add up.
Can I get my data out?
Always. Jeb exports to CSV and PDF straight from the app, so your records are portable whenever you want them.
Does Jeb work offline?
Yes. Because everything is on-device, Jeb works fully offline. The only network use is fetching exchange rates and syncing to your own cloud — both optional to your experience.
